I can’t think of a better way to get cheap, easy access to millions of targeted customers than through Facebook. This is because Facebook allows you to make pages. Pages are immensely powerful if you know how to use them the right way. Why? For the simple fact that they allow you to segregate their users into pots of targeted customers that you can access anytime you want.

This allows you to build communities within Facebook of hundreds of thousands, or millions, of users that you are in control of. You can send promotions and offers to these users anytime you want. As soon as someone “likes” your page, they have opted-in for status updates from your page. Those status updates can contain promotional links, affiliate offers or whatever. It’s up to you.

So for online marketers, this is an amazing ability to have. So when setting up a page, or as I like to think of it, an easy to make segregated online community of targeted users, you’re setting up a portal between you and your customers that never existed before. Lately I’ve been trying to come up with new ways to combine Facebook advertising with Facbeook Pages FBML to make a lot of dough. Here’s what I’ve been working on. It’s a work in progress, and if you can put the finishing touches on this strategy and make it work, you will literally amass a small fortune. Ok here’s what I’m thinking:

Strategy For Verifying Your Facebook Page

There will come a time in the existence of your Facebook page (usually if it’s larger than 15-20k fans) when Facebook will ask you to verify it. They will give you three weeks to verify your page or they will disable your publishing rights. Basically they want you to prove to them that your page represents a real entity. You can verify your page in a few different ways, but they all involve you needing an actual website.

So when Facebook comes knocking, here’s a surefire way to get your page verified, therefore enabling you to keep your publishing rights forever, even if your page hits 50,000,000 users!

You’re going to want to create a real website. This gives you more credibility than if you were to put up a free blog or something (although free blogs sometimes work). Get a domain name that matches your pages name exactly, or very closely.

Whichever way you choose to make your website, make sure you spend a good amount of time making it look legitimate, and professional. Facebook gives you three weeks, so there’s no rush. Take your time.

Once your site is up, add a good amount of content related to the topic your page is about. DO NOT PUT ADVERTISEMENTS OR SALES LINKS ON YOUR WEBSITE FOR ANY REASON! The more innocent your site looks the better chance you have of Facebook approving it for verification.

Finally, you need to put your Facebook page’s badge onto your site (they show you how to do this when they want you to verify your page, but if you have any problems contact us and we’ll help you out).

That’s it! That’s how you avoid getting your precious publishing rights taken away. Once you’ve jumped that hurdle you’re in the clear and you can post whatever you want to as many people as you want.
